About

A daily, tactical, tech‑centric strategy. Uses bond trends (LQD) to decide risk‑on/off, a short‑term “heat score” (RSI) to spot overbought/oversold, and volatility spikes (UVXY). Rotates among 3x ETFs (TQQQ/TECL/SPXL), UVXY, SQQQ, or BSV. Very aggressive; can swing fast.
NutHow it works
Step 1: Check if LQD (investment‑grade corporate bonds) is above its 200‑day average price. That’s the “risk barometer.” • If yes: hold TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100) unless a short‑term “heat score” (RSI, 0–100) says stocks are very hot; then briefly hold UVXY (a volatility spike fund). • If no: buy big dips with TECL (3x Tech) or SPXL (3x S&P 500) when RSI is very low; otherwise either hold UVXY during volatility spikes, return to TQQQ if bonds perk up (20‑day average), or sit defensive in SQQQ (3x inverse Nasdaq‑100) or BSV (short‑term bonds).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside: ~27.5% annualized vs ~20.3% for the S&P, with a tech-heavy, regime-driven rotation. Higher upside comes with larger drawdowns (~57% vs ~19%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
