About

Daily, it checks market trend and heat. In uptrends it owns the Nasdaq‑100, dialing between QQQ/QLD/TQQQ based on volatility. If QQQ looks overheated, it flips into VIX ETFs (VIXY/UVXY). In downtrends it parks in short‑term Treasuries (SHY).
NutHow it works
1) Trend: If SPY (S&P 500 fund) is above its 200‑day average, we’re risk‑on; otherwise hold SHY (short‑term Treasuries). 2) Risk‑on: If QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) has 10‑day RSI > 80 (RSI = 0–100 “heat”; >80 = very hot), switch to VIXY/UVXY (volatility funds that jump when fear spikes). VIXY’s 5‑day RSI sets their mix. 3) Else hold QQQ/QLD/TQQQ (1x/2x/3x), picking more leverage when recent volatility is lower.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside is compelling: about 38.7% annualized return vs 22.6% for the S&P, driven by Nasdaq-100 rotation, opportunistic leverage, and volatility hedges. Higher drawdowns in pullbacks, but potential for stronger long-term growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
