About

A 55/45 long‑short, momentum strategy using 3× bull/bear ETFs, with KMLM as the safety net and yardstick. It holds one strong “risk‑on” sleeve and one “risk‑off”/hedge sleeve, aiming for equity‑light, crisis‑resilient returns.
NutHow it works
55% goes to one aggressive “bull” fund (small‑caps, real estate, biotech, high‑beta, Big‑Tech, or Dow) if its 20‑day RSI—a 0–100 gauge of recent up‑vs‑down days—is higher than KMLM’s 10‑day RSI. Otherwise we park in KMLM (a trend‑following managed‑futures ETF). 45% goes to one “bear” fund (inverse ETFs) only when a reversed RSI test passes; otherwise it also sits in KMLM. We pick 1 best (long: strongest RSI; short: most volatile).
CheckmarkValue prop
Adds crisis resilience and diversification to a core portfolio. A disciplined long/short momentum with a managed‑futures hedge aims to lower equity beta and provide ballast during drawdowns, complementing the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
