About

A 55/45 long‑short rotation in leveraged stock ETFs, using KMLM (managed futures) as yardstick and fallback. Buys the strongest bull fund; hedges with a weak bear fund—or sits in KMLM. Aims to stay slightly net‑long yet hold up in selloffs.
NutHow it works
The portfolio is always 55% “long” and 45% “short.” Long side: it buys the single strongest of six fast‑moving stock funds (3x small‑caps, real estate, biotech, high‑beta, big tech, Dow) using RSI—a 0–100 score of recent strength. If its score isn’t above KMLM’s, it holds KMLM instead (a trend‑following managed‑futures fund). Short side: it picks one bearish fund that gains when stocks fall if it looks weak vs KMLM; otherwise it parks in KMLM. Among bearish options, it prefers the one moving the most.
CheckmarkValue prop
A 55/45 long/short rotation using trend-following futures (KMLM) and 3x equity ETFs. Aims for upside capture with a hedge in selloffs, diversifying away from the S&P and offering lower equity beta—though OOS data show risk and drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
