About

A hyper‑active, regime‑switching strategy: buy tech/semis on dips in uptrends, hedge or short when markets look overheated, retreat to cash/Treasuries in downtrends. Also rotates gold, dollar and EM; uses RSI and 200‑day trend checks, plus KMLM as a diversifier cue.
NutHow it works
Daily, it checks trend (price vs 200‑day avg) and “heat” (RSI: a 0–100 speed‑of‑move gauge; <30 = washed‑out, >70–80 = too hot). Uptrend + dip? Buy high‑beta ETFs (TQQQ, TECL, SOXL). Too hot? Hedge/short (UVXY, SQQQ, SOXS). Downtrend/stress? Move to cash/T‑Bills (BIL), long Treasuries (TLT/TMF), or inverse funds. Side sleeves toggle gold (UGL/GLL), dollar, EM, and use KMLM (a managed‑futures ETF) as an alt trend yardstick.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return ≈359% vs SPY ≈109%, with tiny drawdowns and negative beta. Strong Calmar and regime-switching tech tilts with hedges deliver upside in rallies and protection in downturns—better diversification than SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
