About

Buys recent laggards among a handful of very old, blue‑chip U.S. companies. Each month it picks the two worst 28‑day performers, splits funds equally, and holds for one month to bet on a rebound.
NutHow it works
Each month, the strategy looks only at a small club of very old, durable U.S. companies: BNY, Consolidated Edison (ED), Procter & Gamble (PG), Coca‑Cola (KO), Pfizer (PFE), IBM, and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ). It ranks their last‑28‑day performance and buys the two that did the worst. Money is split 50/50. Hold for one month, then repeat.
CheckmarkValue prop
Defensive mean-reversion: monthly, buy 2 laggards among blue-chip survivors (e.g., PG, KO, JNJ), 50/50, hold 1 month. OOS data show lower drawdown and negative beta vs the S&P, offering diversification and capital preservation.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
