About

All-Weather style with an 80% cash core and a 20% arm across diverse assets plus 20% levered S&P exposure (UPRO); rebalanced yearly. Mix includes tech/health/ staples, gold, broad market, managed futures, anti-beta hedging, and long bonds to balance risk and seek steady returns.
NutHow it works
- The portfolio keeps 80% of capital in cash (uninvested) and allocates 20% to a diversified asset basket. - Within the 20% invested portion, the following fixed weights apply: VGT 12.5%, VHT 12.5%, VDC 8.33%, GLD 16.67%, SPY 16.66%, DBMF 4.16%, KMLM 4.17%, BTAL 16.67%, TLT 8.34%. - In addition, there is a separate 20% allocation to UPRO, a levered S&P 500 ETF, which adds amplified exposure to the broad market. - All components are rebalanced annually, so the target mix is reset each year. - The assets are chosen to capture different return drivers: growth (VGT, SPY), defensive and income (VHT, VDC, TLT), inflation hedge (GLD), alternative risk (DBMF, KMLM), hedging through low-beta/anti-beta (BTAL), and trend-following futures (DBMF, KMLM). The All-Weather aim is to achieve reasonable performance across market environments by not relying on a single driver. Leverage via UPRO increases upside in bull markets but raises risk in downturns. KMLM stands for KraneShares Mount Lucas Managed Futures Index Strategy ETF, which provides a diversified managed-futures exposure; DBMF is iMGP DBi Managed Futures Strategy ETF. BTAL is the AGF U.S. Market Neutral Anti-Beta Fund, which seeks to capture benefits from low-beta exposures. The overall approach is a cautious, long-horizon mix that blends traditional assets with hedges and alternative strategies to weather various regimes.
CheckmarkValue prop
All-Weather strategy: out-of-sample Sharpe ~1.40 vs SPY ~1.16, lower drawdowns ~15% vs ~19%, and about 20.6% annualized returns with hedges and diversification to smooth volatility beyond the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
