About

A diversified “all‑weather” core of stocks, bonds, gold, defensive and trend‑following funds, plus a small 3× S&P 500 sleeve to lift returns. Rebalanced yearly to stay balanced across many market conditions.
NutHow it works
Each year, put 80% into a balanced mix: U.S. stocks (SPY) plus tech (VGT), health care (VHT) and staples (VDC); long‑term U.S. bonds (TLT); gold (GLD); two trend‑followers (DBMF, KMLM) that can go long or short across futures; and BTAL, a defensive stock long/short. Put the other 20% in UPRO, a fund that aims to move ~3× the S&P 500 each day (up and down). Rebalance yearly.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted returns and smaller drawdowns vs the S&P 500. Sharpe 1.24 vs 1.15, Calmar 1.23, max drawdown ~15% vs ~19%. Diversified all-weather core with built-in risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
