This strategy checks the market every day and switches between a few very different moods. When stocks look strong or oversold, it leans into big U.S. stock funds, sometimes using turbocharged funds like SPXL or TQQQ that magnify gains and losses. When the market looks shaky, it may hide in Berkshire Hathaway, very short-term Treasury bills (BIL), oil funds like USO/OILK, or even volatility funds that tend to rise during panic. It uses simple signals like: Is the market above or below its recent average? Has it fallen hard lately? Is momentum unusually weak or strong?

Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.76, Calmar 4.37, ~65.6% annualized vs SPY ~14.5%. Hedge in stress (BRK, oil, T-bills, volatility) with amplified upside in good markets—lower beta than SPY.
