About

An aggressive, rules‑based portfolio. It rides 3× tech/S&P in uptrends, but when fear rises it flips fast into Treasuries, volatility trades (long/short VIX), cash, gold and dollar—or even shorts stocks. Uses RSI and moving averages to switch.
NutHow it works
1) First check trend: is SPY above its 200‑day average? If yes, ride growth (3× tech/S&P via TQQQ, SPXL/UPRO). If they get “too hot,” switch to volatility hedges (UVXY) or T‑bills (SHV/SHY). RSI is a heat gauge: high=hot, low=cold. 2) If not, buy oversold bounces or go defensive: short (SQQQ/SPXU) or move to Treasuries (TLT/TMF/BND/BSV). 3) Separate bond/vol modules trade TMF/TMV and SVXY/SVIX; when fear (VIX) spikes, add BTAL, gold (UGL) and dollar (UUP).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 26.5% annualized return vs 19.2% for the S&P; lower drawdown (17.6% vs 18.8%) and Calmar ~1.51. Regime-switching growth with hedges aims for bigger upside and tighter downside control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
