About

High‑risk, rules‑based portfolio: ~30% chases S&P/Nasdaq uptrends with leveraged funds, ~70% runs hedges that switch among Treasuries, volatility, tech, gold, or cash using trend (moving averages) and “heat” (RSI) signals.
NutHow it works
It splits money into offense (~30%) and defense (~70%). Offense buys leveraged S&P/Nasdaq funds (SPXL, TQQQ) when the trend is up; if things look too hot it parks in T‑bills (SHV) or gold. In downtrends it can switch to shorts (SQQQ/SPXU) or bonds/cash. Defense rotates among long/short long‑term Treasuries (TMF/TMV), volatility funds (UVXY/VIXY vs SVXY/SVIX), tech (TECL/XLK), or cash (BIL/SHV) using trend (moving averages) and “heat” (RSI) signals. RSI = 0–100 gauge of recent speed; moving average = average price over X days.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~23.2% annualized return vs ~18.7% for the S&P, with similar drawdown (≈18.4% vs 18.8%) and a Calmar of ~1.26. Regime-aware hedging aims for stronger, more durable risk-adjusted gains across cycles.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
