An aggressive stock-trading system with a very large hedge layer. It chases strong U.S. stock trends, especially tech, but frequently hides in bonds, cash-like funds, volatility trades, or bearish funds when markets look risky.

This strategy splits money into 3 parts: 15% follows the S&P 500, 15% follows tech/Nasdaq, and 70% runs defense. It first asks: “Is the U.S. stock market in a healthy uptrend?” If yes, it often buys aggressive stock funds. If stocks look too hot or weak, it shifts into cash-like Treasury funds, bonds, volatility trades, or even bearish funds that rise when stocks fall. It uses simple market “temperature checks” based on recent price moves to decide when markets look overheated, washed out, or trending.

Out-of-sample edge: 16.77% annualized return vs SPY 16.43%, similar risk (drawdown ~18.4% vs 18.8%), Calmar ~0.91. Hedge overlay captures upside while dampening crashes—delivering higher upside with comparable risk to the S&P 500.
