About

Rules‑based, high‑octane mix: small S&P 500/Nasdaq trend bets plus a large hedge that flips among long/short Treasuries and volatility. It uses leverage, inverse funds, and quick switches to try to ride uptrends and cushion sell‑offs.
NutHow it works
About 30% is a stock‑trend core; ~70% is a hedge. It first asks if the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average. In uptrends it rides leveraged stock funds (SPXL/TQQQ) unless a short‑term “heat” gauge (RSI, a speed/overheat measure) says prices are too hot, then it moves to cash‑like Treasuries, short‑term bonds, or gold. In downtrends it may switch to inverse stock funds or bonds. The hedge sleeve trades long/short long‑term Treasuries (TMF/TMV) and volatility funds (UVXY/VIXY/SVIX), may short stocks, and uses cash when signals worsen.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample performance beats the S&P: about 23% annualized vs 18.7%, with stronger risk control (Calmar ~1.26) and smaller drawdowns, thanks to hedges in bonds and volatility that dampen losses.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
