About

A daily, rules-based strategy that rides strong uptrends with leveraged tech/stock funds and quickly adds hedges or flips defensive (Treasuries, volatility, or inverse ETFs) when markets look overheated or weak. Offense and defense sleeves adjust dynamically.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks two things: trend and “heat.” If the S&P 500 trend is up, it holds aggressive funds tied to tech, semis, biotech, or short‑volatility. If prices look “hot” (RSI = a heat gauge) it buys crash insurance (UVXY). If they look “cold,” it buys the dip. If trend turns down or volatility jumps, it moves to Treasuries, market‑neutral BTAL, commodities (gold/silver), or even inverse funds. It can switch quickly as conditions change.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~1.11 vs SPY ~1.00; oos annualized return ~50.9% vs ~18.0%; Calmar ~2.17. A dynamic trend/hedge engine delivering superior risk-adjusted upside with tech leadership exposure, though drawdowns can be larger.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
