About
A market-timing strategy built around Apple: hold AAPL in healthy markets, switch to aggressive tech rebound bets, bearish tech, or short-term bonds when conditions weaken.
This strategy wants to own Apple most of the time, but only when the market looks healthy.
It first checks whether the overall U.S. stock market is in an upward trend. If yes, it buys Apple.
If not, it looks at big tech stocks. If tech has fallen very hard recently, it makes an aggressive bet on a bounce using TQQQ. If weakness continues, it chooses either SQQQ (which rises when tech falls) or BSV (short-term bonds) based on which looks stronger. Otherwise, it goes back to Apple.
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets higher upside than the S&P (23.6% vs 20.9% annually) with a tech-forward Apple core and tactical hedges. Greater drawdown risk, but stronger growth in up markets.
