This strategy checks the market every day and shifts into whichever small group of funds looks best for the current environment. If ultra-growth stocks just crashed and then suddenly bounced, it moves into a defensive mix tied to volatility, bonds, the U.S. dollar, and safer stock sectors. If the broad market has been very jumpy, it favors the calmest options from a hedge-focused list. Otherwise, it uses short-term strength readings to decide between a basket of aggressive “up” funds and a basket of bearish “down” funds, then buys the 2 recent laggards in that chosen basket, betting on a snapback.
