- Step 1: “Risk appetite” test: is European banks (EUFN) beating steadier US insurers (KIE) over ~1 year? If yes, play offense; if not, play defense. - Step 2: Use a short-term “too hot/too cold” meter (RSI) on stocks and junk bonds to spot tops/bottoms. - Step 3: Check the bond backdrop (are long Treasuries leading or lagging?). - Step 4: Tilt toward tech/financials/energy in calm; shift to gold, utilities, Treasuries, or volatility trades (VIXY/SVXY) when markets overheat. - Step 5: Side modules actively trade oil (USO/USL) and natural gas (UNG/UNL). Rebalanced daily.
