About

Blends a calm 60/40 core with a tactical sleeve that rides QQQ in uptrends, rotates to gold or T‑bills when momentum breaks, and may briefly use volatility or 3x funds during sharp swings. Goal: capture growth, cut major drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Two sleeves. 1) A steady 60/40 core: 60% VOO (S&P 500) + 40% BIL (T‑bills). 2) A tactical sleeve: if the market is in a long‑term uptrend (S&P > 200‑day avg), it mostly owns QQQ (Nasdaq‑100). If momentum sours or after sharp drops, it shifts to GLD (gold), SHY (short Treasuries) or, briefly, the most beaten‑down 3x funds (TQQQ/SPXL/SOXL). If not in an uptrend, it usually parks in GLD; if fear spikes, it may hold UVXY (a VIX fund). Uses RSI as a heat gauge.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~3.00 vs ~2.82; annualized return ~39.8% vs ~37.3%; Calmar ~7.26. Slightly higher drawdown ~5.49% vs 5.07%, yet superior risk-adjusted growth and resilience vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
