About

A rules-based, tech-tilted strategy: ride uptrends (mainly QQQ), buy sharp dips with leveraged funds, and hedge with Gold or short-term Treasuries when risk rises. Uses simple “heat” signals and a 60/40 VOO/BIL core to steady the ride.
NutHow it works
1) Check if the S&P 500 is in an uptrend (price above its 200‑day average). If yes, go on offense; if not, go defensive. 2) A 0–100 “heat meter” (RSI) flags extremes: >~79 = overheated; <~31 = washed out. 3) Offense: mainly hold QQQ; on selloffs, buy the most beaten‑down fund from a small list (QQQ/TQQQ/SPXL/SOXL/SHY). 4) Defense: shift to Gold (GLD) or short‑term Treasuries (SHY). Use UVXY briefly when markets look over‑heated. A simple 60/40 (VOO/BIL) sleeve adds ballast.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample results beat the S&P on risk-adjusted terms: Sharpe ~3.37 vs ~3.10, annualized return ~47.6% vs 43.1%, beta ~0.91, and drawdowns ~5.5%. Tech tilt with hedges offers higher upside and lower risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
