About

A daily rules-based plan: first check the market trend, then surf between SPY and QQQ, buy dips, hedge with gold/dollar, and occasionally use volatility (UVXY). Uses a simple hot/cold gauge (RSI) to switch between aggressive and defensive modes.
NutHow it works
Daily: Is SPY above its 200‑day average (an uptrend)? - Uptrend: “Surf” between SPY and QQQ, buying the one that’s cooled more (lower RSI = a hot/cold recent‑strength gauge). After sharp drops, park in SHY or hedge with GLD/UUP; if things look too hot, briefly use UVXY (volatility). - Downtrend: Prefer the GLD/UUP hedge; UVXY only on big vol spikes; otherwise pick the safest/most washed‑out of SHY/TQQQ/SPXL. Tickers: SPY=S&P 500; QQQ=Nasdaq 100; TQQQ/SPXL=3x versions; SHY=short Treasuries; GLD=gold; UUP=US dollar; UVXY=volatility.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: annualized return 54.7% vs SPY's 22.0%, Sharpe 1.60 vs 1.31, Calmar 1.70. Strong upside capture with risk controls (hedges, volatility tactically) delivering superior risk-adjusted performance despite ~32% drawdown in downturns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
