About

An aggressive, rules‑based trader: it rides big tech uptrends with 3x funds, flips to hedges/volatility or managed futures (KMLM) when signals flash risk. Uses a trend filter and a hot/cold score (RSI) to switch daily.
NutHow it works
In plain English: the strategy asks two questions every day. 1) Trend: Is the market rising or falling (vs a long‑term average)? 2) Heat: Are prices “hot” or “cold” now? (It uses RSI, a 0‑100 score of recent speed; high=hot/overbought, low=cold/oversold.) - If trend is up and not “hot,” it rides tech with fast funds like TQQQ (3x Nasdaq), TECL (3x Tech), or SOXL (3x Semis). - If things get “too hot,” or trend turns down, it hedges/shorts (SQQQ/TECS) or uses volatility funds (UVXY/UVIX) and sometimes moves to very safe T‑Bills. - When stocks look choppy or weak versus alternatives, it can switch to KMLM (a managed‑futures fund that follows trends in commodities, currencies, and rates), or peers (DBMF/CTA). This adds diversification that has historically helped when stocks struggle (e.g., inflationary selloffs). - It also tries to “buy the dip” (when RSI is very low) and “sell the rip” (when RSI is very high).
CheckmarkValue prop
Dynamic, rules-based mix of leveraged tech, hedges, and managed futures provides diversification beyond the S&P. In OOS, returns trail the S&P, but the strategy targets hedging and drawdown control in volatile, inflationary markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
