An aggressive trading strategy that buys tech-heavy dips, but steps into volatility protection, a Nasdaq hedge, or gold when market conditions look overheated or defensive assets are stronger.

This strategy is an aggressive market-timing system. First, it checks whether parts of the stock market look too hot after a fast run-up. If they do, it moves 40% into VIXY, a fund that usually rises when market fear jumps, and leaves the rest in cash. If the market is not overheated, it looks for sharp pullbacks in high-octane funds like TQQQ, SOXL, SPXL, or LABU and buys them as “dip” trades. If none of those are beaten down, it compares tech strength to KMLM, a managed-futures fund often used as a stress/diversifier gauge. If tech is stronger, it buys TQQQ. If not, and KMLM is trending up, it buys PSQ, which profits when the Nasdaq-100 falls. Otherwise it buys gold (GLD).

Out-of-sample, this strategy shows superior risk-adjusted returns: Sharpe ~1.45, Calmar ~4.62, alpha ~0.56, annualized return ~77% vs SPY ~17%, beta ~0.76. Tactical hedges and dip-picks aim to beat the S&P while limiting downside.
