A high-risk strategy that usually leans hard into leveraged tech, but switches part of the portfolio into bets against bonds and the Nasdaq when a defensive trend-following fund looks stronger.

The strategy splits money into 3 equal parts and asks the same question three ways, using tech stocks, the overall U.S. stock market, and chip stocks. If those areas have been acting stronger than KMLM—a fund that follows market trends across things like commodities, currencies, and rates—it buys TECL, a very aggressive fund that aims to amplify moves in big U.S. tech stocks. If not, it checks whether KMLM itself has been weakening. If KMLM looks weak, it still buys TECL. Only when KMLM looks relatively strong does it turn defensive and spread that slice across funds that bet against long-term Treasury bonds and against the Nasdaq.

Out-of-sample annualized return ~52% vs S&P's single-digit gains, with Calmar ~1.04 and Sharpe ~0.96. A regime-switching, leveraged-tech strategy that rides uptrends and hedges downturns—much bigger upside than the S&P, but higher risk.
