A fast-moving market-timing strategy that flips between a fear trade (VXX), aggressive 3x stock funds, and a defensive basket depending on whether markets look overheated, panicky, or oversold.
NutHow it works
This strategy checks the market every day and asks: are stocks looking too hot, too panicky, or washed out? If many stock areas have risen very fast recently, it moves fully into VXX, a product that tends to benefit when market fear jumps. If markets are deeply beaten down, it buys aggressive 3x stock funds for a rebound. If neither is true, it falls back to a calmer mix of low-volatility defensive funds like cash-like T-bills, managed futures, bonds, or long/short stock funds.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
