About

Rule‑based, daily: shorts U.S./EM stocks when markets look overheated, buys Kinetics Paradigm’s concentrated top holdings after sharp selloffs, and otherwise rotates among cash‑like Treasuries and SPY using simple trend/momentum filters.
NutHow it works
Daily rules. It watches big market/sector ETFs and a simple “heat” score, RSI (0–100; high=stretched, low=washed‑out). If heat is very high, it holds funds that rise when stocks fall (SH, EUM), sized to favor the calmer one. If very low, it buys a basket mirroring Kinetics Paradigm’s top 10 (heavy TPL, some GBTC). Otherwise, trend checks (125‑/25‑day averages) switch among cash‑like Treasuries (SHV), SPY, or that basket.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 32.8% annualized return vs SPY's 21.3%. Higher upside with risk control (Calmar 2.30), but larger drawdowns (14.3%). Best for investors tolerant of bigger dips seeking higher long-run growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
