About
An aggressive semiconductor trading strategy that shifts between bullish, bearish, and defensive positions based on market stress, chip-sector momentum, and sharp daily moves.
This strategy is a very active bet on the semiconductor industry.
It first asks: is the market calm, shaky, or stressed? It judges that using UVXY, a “fear” fund tied to market volatility.
Then it watches SMH, a broad chip-sector fund. Big 1-day drops often trigger a buy of SOXL, a fund that magnifies gains and losses if chip stocks rise. Big 1-day jumps often trigger SOXS, which benefits if chip stocks fall.
When moves are smaller, it uses trend checks on the overall market and chip sector to choose among SMH, a basket of leading chip stocks like NVDA and TSM, bearish exposure, or safer holdings like short-term Treasury bonds, the U.S. dollar, or volatility funds.
Targeted semiconductor, regime-driven strategy designed to ride AI hardware cycles. OOS return ~21.3%/yr vs S&P ~21.9%, but with higher drawdowns. Potential for outsized upside in tech upcycles with hedging and active risk control.
