About

Aggressive, rules‑based chip strategy that flips between 3x bull and 3x bear funds on big daily swings, adapts to market “fear,” and adds bond/dollar/volatility hedges; in uptrends it can hold the chip ETF or top chip stocks.
NutHow it works
It trades the chip sector. It watches SMH (a fund of chip makers). If chips plunge in a day, it buys SOXL (a 3x up fund for chips). If they spike, it buys SOXS (a 3x down fund). A “fear” gauge (UVXY) sets calm/normal/panic modes, which change the trigger sizes and add hedges in SHY (short Treasuries), UUP (U.S. dollar), or volatility funds (UVXY/VIXM). In healthy trends it may simply hold SMH or leading chip stocks.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~61% vs ~23% for the S&P; this strategy targets explosive chip-cycle rallies with hedges to cushion stress. Calmar ~1.04 signals solid risk-adjusted upside, though it may endure deeper drawdowns (~59%) than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
