About

A semiconductor‑focused, tactical strategy that buys dips and fades rips with 3x ETFs, sizes trades by a fear gauge (UVXY), and falls back to trend‑following or bonds when no extremes—using hedges to blunt big shocks.
NutHow it works
What it tries to do: ride the “waves” in semiconductor stocks. 1) Read fear using UVXY (a VIX-based ETF). High fear = only react to very big moves; low fear = react to smaller moves. 2) Big 1‑day drop in SMH (chip ETF) → buy SOXL (3x long chips) with ~30% in hedges (SHY/UUP/VIX ETFs). Big spike → short via SOXS (3x inverse) + some SHY. 3) If no extremes: follow the trend—own SMH or top chip stocks when trends are up; sit in SHY or use SOXS when weak. “RSI” here just means “how stretched” a move is.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-aware semiconductor strategy using 3x ETFs and hedges to capture big chip moves. Out-of-sample annualized return ~33% vs SPY ~21%; higher upside, but larger drawdowns and volatility.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
