About

Daily it gauges short‑term market heat. When extreme, it buys VIX‑linked fear funds (VIXY up to UVXY). If only retail is hot, it parks in BTAL + T‑bills. Otherwise it holds LLY, NVO, COST, plus PGR or GE.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks a 10‑day “heat” score (RSI) for the market and key sectors. If heat is very high (prices look stretched), it buys fear funds tied to the VIX (UVXY, VIXY, VIXM), scaling from mild to aggressive. If only retail is hot, it goes defensive (BTAL + T‑bills). If nothing is hot, it holds Eli Lilly (40%), Novo Nordisk, Costco, and either Progressive or GE, favoring the calmer names.
CheckmarkValue prop
Low-correlation, volatility-hedged strategy: market beta ~0.63 with built-in VIX hedging. Out-of-sample ~10.3% annualized with disciplined risk (Calmar ~0.54). Adds diversification and resilience to an S&P 500 core, not just chasing raw returns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
