The strategy puts all funds into METU, a 2x levered ETF on META. It is set up to be 100% invested in METU on the chosen date, and the position is adjusted daily to keep the exposure as described (daily rebalancing). If META rises 1% on a day, METU aims to rise about 2% that day; if META falls 1%, METU falls about 2%. Because METU uses leverage and resets every day, the long-run result depends on the sequence of daily moves in META rather than a simple 2x multiplication. With only one asset, there’s no diversification—it's a concentrated bet on META’s short-term moves magnified by leverage. Leveraged ETFs can amplify gains but also magnify losses, and their performance over multiple days can diverge from 2x due to compounding and volatility. As of July 31, 2024, the rule is to hold METU with 100% of capital (no cash left uninvested) and rebalance daily to maintain that stance.

Out-of-sample: ~27.9% annualized return vs ~18.5% for the S&P, driven by 2x META with daily rebalancing. Higher upside, but much larger drawdowns—great for risk-tolerant investors seeking tech alpha.
