About

Ride tech with TQQQ in uptrends, hedge frothy spots with a 50/50 UVXY/BIL mix, and in downtrends rotate among 3× tech/S&P bounce plays, inverse Nasdaq (SQQQ), or Treasuries (TLT) using short‑term “heat” gauges. Very volatile; rebalances daily.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily switcher built on two simple ideas: trend and “heat.” - Trend: If the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average (an uptrend), default to TQQQ (3× Nasdaq). If short‑term “heat” (RSI, a 0–100 gauge of recent gains) is very high, park 50/50 in UVXY (volatility) and BIL (T‑bills). - If not in an uptrend: buy oversold bounces in TECL (3× tech) or UPRO (3× S&P). If no bounce, pick the stronger of SQQQ (−3× Nasdaq) or TLT (Treasuries); otherwise SQQQ if oversold, else TQQQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers big growth with hedges: 65.6% annualized vs ~18% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.09 vs ~1.03, Calmar ~1.31, and positive alpha ~0.24, though drawdowns can reach ~50% vs ~19%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
