An aggressive strategy that tries to ride leveraged chip stocks in good times, but uses market warning signals to switch into volatility bets or defensive assets when conditions look risky.

This strategy is a market “weather system.” It first checks whether conditions look healthy or fragile using bonds vs cash, emerging markets, and wood vs gold. In strong conditions, it usually goes all-in on SOXL, a fund that makes a leveraged bet on semiconductor stocks. If the stock market looks too hot, it switches to UVXY, a volatility fund that tends to rise when markets panic. In weaker or mixed conditions, it moves into a mix of defenses such as long-term Treasury bonds, volatility funds, gold, the U.S. dollar, commodities, utilities, and energy—favoring whichever of those have been strongest lately.

Out-of-sample edge: ~44% annualized return vs SPY ~21%, with Sharpe ~1.01. The system shifts to leveraged semis in up markets and hedges with volatility/defensives for bigger upside and disciplined risk versus the S&P 500.
