About
A simple, fixed‑weight U.S. stock portfolio: 20% Berkshire Hathaway, 20% S&P 500 (VOO), 30% Nasdaq‑100 (QQQM), 30% U.S. large‑cap growth (SCHG). Rebalanced daily. Heavy tilt to mega‑cap growth/tech; Berkshire adds a diversified, quality ballast.
It keeps a fixed mix of four U.S. stock holdings and resets to these weights each day:
- 20% BRK.B: Berkshire Hathaway (Buffett’s conglomerate: insurance, railroad, utilities, lots of cash).
- 20% VOO: S&P 500 fund (broad U.S. market).
- 30% QQQM: Nasdaq‑100 fund like QQQ but with a lower fee; very tech‑heavy.
- 30% SCHG: U.S. large‑cap growth fund (Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, etc).
Net effect: 100% stocks, tilted to big‑growth/tech; Berkshire adds some balance.
Out-of-sample, this fixed-weight US equity mix posts ~22% annualized return with a ~1.65 Sharpe and ~2.14 Calmar, beta near 1—offering stronger risk-adjusted growth than the S&P 500, though drawdowns can be a bit larger (~10%).
