About

A daily, tech‑tilted timing strategy: hedge with volatility (UVXY) when indexes are too hot; buy leveraged rebounds in tech/Amazon (TECL/AMZU) when washed out; otherwise sit in short‑term Treasuries (SHV). High risk due to leverage and UVXY.
NutHow it works
Daily it uses RSI, a 0–100 heat gauge of price (high=hot, low=cold). - If QQQ or SPY are very hot (>80): buy UVXY (jumps when volatility spikes). - Else if tech is very cold (TQQQ RSI<31): buy TECL (3× tech). - Else compare bonds (IEF) vs short‑Nasdaq (PSQ): - If bonds win: buy AMZU (1.5× Amazon) when AMZN’s 8‑day > 30‑day; else if AMZN is cold (<37) buy TECL; else hold SHV (cash‑like T‑bills ETF). - If bonds lose: only buy AMZU when AMZN is cold; else SHV.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~43% annualized vs 19% for the S&P, Calmar ~0.76. Leveraged tech with volatility hedges aims for bigger upside, but higher drawdowns (~56% vs ~19%). Suited for investors with higher risk tolerance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
