About

A high-risk, leveraged-momentum strategy that rotates 1–2 highly levered ETFs (tech/semis, volatility, or Treasuries) based on RSI/momentum and trend signals, with no fixed regular rebalancing, aiming to ride big moves while hedging with volatility and bond exposures.
NutHow it works
In plain language, the system scans a small group of ETFs that tend to move a lot when markets swing (mostly tech and related sectors, plus volatility and Treasuries). It checks whether each one looks strong or weak using momentum clues (like RSI) and whether the price is behaving like a rising or falling trend (using moving averages). It then picks the best 1 or 2 assets and puts all the money into them (100% weight) for that moment. There are built‑in “groups” for different moods: one catches high-probability highs, another tries to buy dips and sell rallies, and another mixes stocks with bonds to dampen risk. There is no regular fixed rebalancing; the system updates its picks as signals change. Expect big swings because this relies on leveraged ETFs, but the idea is to ride big moves while using hedges on volatility and dollar strength when signals favor risk-off. The plan uses many technical screens (e.g., RSI thresholds, price vs. a long moving average, top/bottom momentum picks) to decide which asset to own and when to switch, all within a single consolidated framework.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, aims for far higher upside than SPY: ~74% annualized return vs ~21%, with Sharpe ~1.24 and Calmar ~1.70, by riding leveraged ETFs and hedging with volatility and Treasuries to manage risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
