About
A highly aggressive strategy that bets on big U.S. tech stocks, usually with 2x or 3x leverage, and only reduces risk when the recent market drop/rebound pattern suggests caution.
This strategy watches QQQ, a fund that represents big U.S. growth/tech stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Nvidia. It then switches between:
• TQQQ: a very aggressive 3x version of QQQ
• QLD: a less aggressive 2x version
• QQQ: the normal, unleveraged version
• BIL: short-term Treasury bills, a cash-like safety position
If the market had a meaningful drop recently, it checks whether stocks have recovered. If they have, it stays aggressive but may dial down from 3x to 2x after a very strong rebound. If they have not recovered, it becomes cautious and may move to BIL after a small gain. If there was no recent drop, it stays very aggressive unless gains have gotten too strong, in which case it cuts back from 3x to 2x.
Out-of-sample annualized ~27.5% vs S&P ~16.7%, leveraging mega-cap tech (3x/2x) with crash/recovery rules and BIL hedges. Higher growth potential but larger drawdowns; risk controls aim to protect capital while chasing upside vs S&P.
