About

A tactical trend strategy: use 3x stock ETFs (or RTX) in clear uptrends, but retreat to T‑bills when trends weaken. Adds crash and bond health checks, a small semis hedge when the S&P softens, and inverse‑vol weighting to temper swings.
NutHow it works
It checks if stocks are trending up: a short-term average price must be above a long-term average. If yes, most money goes to the strongest of three choices—TQQQ (3x Nasdaq-100), SPXL (3x S&P 500), or RTX (Raytheon)—plus small slices in AVGO (chips), JNJ (healthcare), and PG (consumer staples). If not, it parks mostly in cash-like T‑bills (BIL/SHV/SHY), with a tiny probe into big US stocks (VV) only on brief bounces. Extra brakes: flee to T‑bills after a sudden drop, use a small bearish semis position (SOXS) if the S&P weakens, and a bond check. It also leans toward the calmer parts using inverse‑vol weighting. RSI = a recent “gains vs. losses” score; a moving average is the average price over X days.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~58% annualized return vs 22% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.88 vs ~1.87, Calmar ~7.15. More upside with built-in risk controls (trend timing, hedges, inverse-vol allocation) and disciplined risk management.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
