About

A daily, rules-based strategy that rides TQQQ (3x Nasdaq) in uptrends, briefly hedges with UVXY when markets look overheated, and in downtrends rotates among TECL, UPRO, SQQQ, or TLT using short‑term signals (RSI and 20‑day average).
NutHow it works
Daily rules. 1) If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average (uptrend), hold TQQQ (3x Nasdaq). If short‑term heat is extreme—RSI(10), a 0–100 gauge of recent price speed, is very high—switch briefly to UVXY (volatility). 2) If SPY is below its 200‑day average (downtrend), use RSI and the 20‑day average to rotate among TECL (3x tech), UPRO (3x S&P 500), SQQQ (3x inverse Nasdaq), or TLT (long Treasuries).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~84.8% annualized return with Sharpe ~1.24 and Calmar ~1.69 vs S&P ~19.3% return and Sharpe ~1.05. A rules-based, tech tilt with tactical hedges aims for bigger upside and disciplined risk vs SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
