About

A risk-on/risk-off mix: when SPY drops quickly, it parks in T‑bills; otherwise it holds a tech‑ and growth‑tilted basket plus commodities, sizing positions so calmer assets get more weight.
NutHow it works
It flips between “risk-on” and “safety.” If the broad U.S. market (SPY) has fallen over 5% from a recent high within ~17 trading days, it holds BIL (short‑term T‑bills). Otherwise it holds: 40% split (more to calmer names) across XLF (banks), QQQ (big tech), MSTR (a Bitcoin‑tilted stock); 30% DBC (commodities); 30% split (again, more to calmer names) across ARKK (innovative tech), TSLA (Tesla), NVDA (Nvidia). It only rebalances if weights drift by more than ~1.618%.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: max drawdown 14.9% vs SPY’s 18.8%, annualized return 18.46% vs 20.76%, Calmar 1.24. Strong downside protection and risk-adjusted resilience with similar upside relative to the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
