Own five big oil stocks when the energy sector is trending up. Otherwise, rotate into bond/defensive ETFs (some leveraged), choosing those most recently sold off by RSI. Daily rebalanced; equal weights in stocks and a 75/25 split across ETF pairs.

Each day: if the energy sector ETF XLE is above its 20‑day average (an uptrend), split money equally across five large oil companies from a preset list. If not, buy four ETFs picked for having the lowest 10‑day RSI (a 0–100 “heat meter”; low = recently fell): 2 from a broad list (75% weight) and 2 from a safer list (25%).
