About

Energy trend switch: if XLE is in an uptrend, own 5 big oil stocks equally; otherwise, move to one defensive ETF (bonds or defensive sectors) that’s recently been weakest, aiming for a rebound. Rebalanced daily.
NutHow it works
Each day the strategy asks: Is the Energy sector ETF (XLE) above its 20‑day average? If yes, split the money equally across 5 large oil companies from a preset list (e.g., Exxon, Chevron, Shell, BP, Total). If not, hold one “defensive” fund picked from Treasuries/corporate‑bond funds and defensive sectors (XLP, XLV, XLU). It picks the one that fell most over ~10 days (low RSI ≈ recently weak). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample tests show this strategy delivering better risk-adjusted returns than the S&P 500 by capturing energy uptrends with major oil stocks and defending with a disciplined defensive ETF on pullbacks, rebalanced daily.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
