About
A fast, rules‑based chip strategy: it fades extreme moves in chips/NVDA/AMD with 3× bull/bear ETFs, and otherwise follows trends—owning the strongest chip/energy name in uptrends or the two strongest of SPY/commodities/energy in downtrends.
Split in two sleeves. Uses the chip ETF SOXX as the guide. SOXL/SOXS are 3× bull/bear on SOXX; NVDA/AMD are big chip stocks; XLE=energy; DBC=commodities; SPY=S&P 500.
After very big 5‑day moves or when NVDA/AMD’s short‑term “too hot/too cold” gauge (RSI) is extreme, it makes quick opposite bets with SOXL/SOXS. If nothing is extreme, it checks trend (10 vs 200‑day avg): in uptrends it holds the single strongest chip/energy name; in downtrends it holds the two strongest of SPY/DBC/XLE.
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.48 vs SPY 1.10; Calmar 2.60; annualized oos return ~128% vs ~18% for SPY. Capital growth from chip/energy leadership with disciplined risk rules—note larger drawdowns in extreme markets.
