About

A tactical chips strategy that flips between 3x bull/bear chip funds on sharp moves, uses NVDA/AMD heat (RSI) for extremes, and otherwise follows trend/momentum, rotating into semis, energy, the S&P 500, or commodities as conditions change.
NutHow it works
Targets chip stocks. If SOXX (chip fund) is up >5% over 5 days: if today is down >2% buy SOXL (3x long chips); else buy SOXS (3x short chips). If SOXX is down >5%: if today is up >2% buy SOXS; else buy SOXL. Otherwise it runs two checks (NVDA and AMD). For each: if RSI (0–100 heat) >90, buy SOXS; if <15, buy SOXL; else use trend: if chips in uptrend (10d EMA > 200d), own the strongest of SOXX/NVDA/AMD/XLE/ENPH; otherwise own the top two of SPY/DBC/XLE.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.45 vs S&P 1.10; Calmar 2.51; annualized ~123% vs ~18%. Chip-focused tactical strategy with upside potential and risk controls—though drawdowns run ~49% vs ~19% for the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
