About

A rules‑based “inflation alarm” portfolio: if long‑term rates are surging, it shifts into commodities, gold, energy, healthcare, and short long‑bonds (plus a big tilt to the most active asset). Otherwise, it stays in QQQ (big US tech).
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: are long‑term Treasury prices plunging? It checks if TBT (a fund that rises when long bonds fall) is up ≥10% over ~3 months. If yes: 50% in DBC (commodities), GLD (gold), TBF (short long Treasuries), XLE (energy), XLV (healthcare), and 50% in whichever of those (or QQQ: big US tech) moved most in 2 weeks. If no: 100% QQQ. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Two-state, rules-based inflation-hedge: switch to diversified real-asset exposure in inflation spikes, otherwise stay in tech (QQQ). OOS: 21.69% annualized return vs SPY 21.18%, Calmar ~0.95, with disciplined risk and diversification.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
