About

A high‑octane, semiconductor‑first system that uses simple hot/cold gauges and bond‑market cues to: ride 3x semis (SOXL), briefly park in short Treasuries (SHY), flip to inverse funds (SOXS/SQQQ) in stress, or rotate into defensives/hedges (staples, healthcare, long Treasuries, gold/silver).
NutHow it works
Daily, it reads a few simple “hot/cold” gauges (RSI = a quick 0–100 read of how hot or cold recent price moves are). 1) If short‑term inflation‑protected Treasuries (VTIP) are strong and trending up, it buys one beaten‑down defensive/hedge ETF: consumer staples (UGE), healthcare (CURE), long Treasuries (TMF), gold (UGL), or silver (AGQ). 2) Otherwise it focuses on semiconductors: if longer Treasuries look stronger than cash‑like T‑bills, it rides SOXL unless the S&P 500 is too hot (then it parks in SHY). If bonds look stronger than stocks, it flips to inverse ETFs (SOXS/SQQQ); if stocks look stronger, it buys a beaten‑down SOXL or TECL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~288% annualized return vs SPY’s ~28%, with beta ~0.76 and Sharpe ~2.37—Calmar ~8.9. Higher upside with discipline; note ~32% drawdowns in stress.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
