About

Aggressive swing strategy using QQQ’s RSI. Too hot: UVXY (volatility hedge). Too cold: the most beaten‑down triple‑long tech ETF (bet on a bounce). Otherwise use trend: up = long, down = SQQQ (triple‑short). Extremely high risk and concentrated.
NutHow it works
It watches QQQ (a Nasdaq‑100 fund) and uses RSI—a 0–100 “hot/cold” meter of recent moves—to decide. If QQQ looks very hot (overbought), it buys UVXY, a volatility fund that can jump when markets drop. If it looks cold (oversold), it buys whichever of TQQQ/TECL/SOXL (triple‑long tech/semis) fell most, aiming for a snapback. Otherwise it checks trend: in uptrends it holds those; in downtrends it uses SQQQ (triple‑short QQQ). Very high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy beats the S&P on risk-adjusted returns: Sharpe ~1.06 vs ~1.00, Calmar ~1.11, and annualized return ~74% vs ~18%. Note higher drawdowns (~67% vs ~19%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
