About
An aggressive tech-heavy strategy that usually bets on the Nasdaq going up, buys dips very aggressively, hedges against overheated rallies, and moves to safer assets when the trend weakens.
This strategy watches QQQ, a fund that tracks many big tech-heavy companies like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Nvidia.
Most of the time, if that market looks healthy, it holds QLD, which is a boosted bet on QQQ. If QQQ looks very beaten down, it buys extra-aggressive funds (TQQQ and TECL) to bet on a rebound. If QQQ looks overheated, it shifts into crash/fear trades (UVXY or SQQQ). If the market looks weak or directionless, it downgrades to plain QQQ or even BIL, a very safe short-term Treasury fund.
Out-of-sample, this Nasdaq-focused strategy aims for much higher upside (45.8% annualized) with solid risk-adjusted durability (Calmar 1.45). It targets greater growth than the S&P via tactical hedges, accepting higher drawdowns (~31.6%).
