About

Daily, trend-check Industrials. If strong, hold the two strongest industrial names; if weak, move fully into one defensive pick (Treasuries/bonds or defensive sector ETFs). Uses momentum in uptrends and an oversold signal in defense; can include leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
Every day it checks if Industrials (XLI) is rising by comparing a short 20‑day average price to a 50‑day one. If rising, it splits money between the two strongest recent gainers from a set of big industrial names (GE, CAT, LMT, DE, UNP, etc.; may include 3× DUSL). If not, it puts everything into one “safer” choice that looks most beaten‑down by a 10‑day hot/cold score (RSI) among Treasuries/bonds (BSV, TLT, LQD, VBF) or defensive sectors (XLP, XLV, XLU; may use 2× UGE). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~63% annualized return, Sharpe ~2.08, Calmar ~11.67, max drawdown ~5.40%, vs SPY's ~19.6% return, Sharpe ~1.03, ~5.07% drawdown. Higher risk-adjusted upside with controlled downside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
