About

An aggressive, rules-based blend that rides tech-led uptrends with 3x ETFs, hedges or shorts when markets look overheated or weak, and shifts to bonds/defensives when stress rises. Driven by trend and RSI signals; expect frequent changes and big swings.
NutHow it works
It pairs trend with a price “speedometer” (RSI). If stocks trend up, it rides turbo funds in Nasdaq/tech/semis (TQQQ, TECL, SOXL, UPRO). If things look overheated (RSI high) or below trend, it cuts risk or flips to inverse/vol (SQQQ, SOXS, SPXS, UVXY). Bonds (TLT/TMF/TMV, BIL/IEF) and, when strong, gold, dollar, Brazil/India help in defense. Bonds are used to confirm risk‑on/off, and the mix changes as conditions change.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P: Sharpe ~1.29, Calmar ~2.30, and ~72% annualized vs ~21% (alpha ~0.14%). Regime-switching and trend hedges aim to capture tech leadership while controlling risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
