About

When parts of the market look “too hot,” the strategy flips into a volatility fund (UVXY) to bet on a quick shakeout; otherwise it sits in T‑bills (BIL). Rebalanced daily; 47% sleeve.
NutHow it works
Each day, it checks a short‑term “heat gauge” (RSI over ~10 days) on a basket of stock‑market funds covering tech, S&P 500, value, communications, discretionary, energy, staples, real estate, financials, and global megacaps. If any look very hot (RSI ~79–85+), it switches this sleeve into UVXY—a volatility fund that jumps when markets wobble. If none are hot, it parks in BIL (T‑bills). Rebalanced daily; target sleeve weight: 47%.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~38.5% annualized return vs SPY ~17.5%; Sharpe ~1.08 vs ~1.00; Calmar ~2.36; max drawdown ~16.3% vs ~18.8%; negative beta ~-0.36 offers diversification. Higher risk-adjusted growth with smaller drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
