About

A daily, tactical “correction catcher.” It watches for overheated markets or quick drops using a simple 0–100 heat meter (RSI). When danger rises, it buys UVXY (volatility). It may also ride TMV when long‑term rates climb. Otherwise it sits in T‑bills.
NutHow it works
Uses RSI—a 0–100 heat meter; high = overheated—to spot when stocks (SPY, TQQQ and sectors) look stretched or after quick drops. Then it buys UVXY, a fund that jumps when markets fall. If an inverse long‑Treasury fund (TMV) is trending up (15>50‑day) and not too hot (RSI<70), it buys TMV. Otherwise it parks in T‑bills (BIL/SHV).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~24% annualized return vs ~19% for the S&P, with alpha. A volatility overlay (UVXY/TMV) aims at upside with stress-hedge. Drawdowns are larger (~31.5%), so higher upside comes with more risk than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
