About

A daily, rules‑based switcher that rides tech/growth uptrends (often with 3x ETFs) and quickly hedges or goes defensive when markets overheat or break trend, using RSI, short‑term momentum, volatility spikes, and bond signals to “calm the chaos.”
NutHow it works
Each day it checks trend and “market heat.” If the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average, it leans into growth (e.g., TQQQ=3x Nasdaq, TECL=3x Tech, SOXL=3x Semis, UPRO=3x S&P). If trend breaks or things look overheated (high RSI or volatility), it shifts to protection (SQQQ/TECS/SOXS=3x inverse, VXX/UVXY=volatility, TLT/TMF/TMV=bonds, BIL=T‑Bills). It blends many small rules to keep drawdowns low.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 19.38% annualized vs SPY 18.13%, driven by growth tilts with tactical hedges. Higher upside, but larger drawdowns (24.17% vs 18.76%); Calmar ~0.80—strong risk-adjusted potential with active risk control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
